Ogilvy's Flashy New Fellowship Programme!

Well it's been a long time coming but we have now finalised details of the new Fellowship programme. We just need to iron out a couple of last minute details before we can publicise everything but please keep an eye on the site as we expect to have full information up within the next couple of weeks.

As ever, if you have any enquiries in the meantime (about the programme, working at Ogilvy, quantum physics, or the meaning of life) please feel free to email me on michael.alexander@ogilvy.com

Is it really already November 2009?

I suppose our total lack of updates is a sign of how busy you'll be on your first placement. Despite empty promises to the contrary, we completely neglected to update this blog! If you have any questions about life as a Fellow and some of the opportunities and challenges it throws at you, please feel free to get in touch by email - michael.alexander@ogilvy.com

As you will have noticed the programme is currently under review and that's about as much as we know. As soon as more information is available, the website will be updated and I will post further information on the blog. Please do keep an eye out! This time, I really promise...

Thanks
Michael

Our First Month...

The Arrival of the New Recruits

Introducing...Henry Bartlam, Jay Ashraf, Michael Alexander, Tom Pinnock and Pippa Henson

Day 1, Ogilvy Fellowship 2008

9:30am   Breakfast with Gary Leih, the CEO of Ogilvy Group UK

10:30am Induction

2:15pm   Meet Nicole Yershon (Digital Creative Guru and Mastermind of All Things Technologically Cool)

3pm       Fellowship training programme overview

4:45pm  Meet previous years’ Fellows for a Q&A session

5:30pm  Free drinks at the Ogilvy Bar

And so the first week continued... we’ve been given a whistlestop tour of the Ogilvy Group, tried our hand at bartending, cooking, scavenging, delivering post, blagging free spring rolls from China Town, and even one or two makeup lessons. It’s been a whirlwind of a month.

We’ve met some of the most senior executives at Ogilvy as well as some of their best creative talent. It’s quite an experience meeting someone whose work you see on TV when you’re watching The Simpsons later that night.

So, one week on, we honestly feel that we’ve joined a family rather than a corporation. Now we’re looking forward to the Christmas do!

We will update this blog regularly so that any budding 2010 fellows can get a better understanding of what the Ogilvy experience is all about. Feel free to leave any questions/comments/funny jokes and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
