The Ogilvy Internship
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:55AM We will be selecting ten of the brightest and best applicants to join us to undertake two paid consecutive four-week placements. You’ll get great experience and have the opportunity to hear from some of London’s best talent in the industry while also learning about our 360 approach to advertising.
You will experience working in two of Ogilvy’s group companies based in Paddington or Canary Wharf, doing anything from multi-national TV campaigns to PR blogger outreach. Think of it as your opportunity to shine and make your mark on the accounts you may end up on.
Becoming a Fellow
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:53AM From the group of ten interns, five bright stars will be asked to join the Fellowship programme. Even if you don’t make it onto the Fellowship itself, there may be ongoing opportunities in the Ogilvy Group.
The Initial Fellowship Training
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:50AM Mojito-mixing, a fetish fashion show and playing in a band. Yes, this is all part of your six weeks of Fellowship training. Well sort of. When you arrive at Ogilvy, you'll have six weeks of training with the other new recruits before starting your first placement. During this period you'll learn about the different companies you are going to be working for and the different skills you will need at Ogilvy. You'll also take part in your fair share of group exercises so you can bond with other members of your group and hone the necessary skills for when you start your first placement.
After your training, you'll begin work on your first of three year-long placements.
One of your three years will be spent at Ogilvy Advertising, and another at OgilvyOne. Your third placement (not necessarily your third year) will be at one of the other Group companies below:
- Ogilvy Advertising - Does what it says. Mostly TV, radio, print and some online advertising
- OgilvyOne - Specialises in one-on-one communications - direct marketing and digital stuff (Campaign's Direct Agency of the Year 2007)
- Ogilvy PR - Does PR - online and offline. Unsurprisingly
- Ogilvy Healthworld - Not a spa or gym. Actually deals with healthcare communications and medical related advertising
- Coley Porter Bell - Brand design consulting
- OgilvyAction - International promotion and activation specialists
